wandering eye wednesday: STONEHENGE || week thirty-nine/2

Oh, hey! What’s your week been like? All day I thought it was Thursday, and then had a mild panic when I realized I hadn’t done my post for Wednesday this week.  What a relief that it’s just Wednesday.  And a bummer it’s just Wednesday – I thought the weekend was closer all day long!

On our recent travels, my sister and I took a day trip from London to Stonehenge.  It’s been on my life list since I was a little girl.  It’s always fascinated me, and I surprised myself with all the info I’d retained since learning about it in my childhood.  Especially when so many people I’ve mentioned it to don’t really know what I’m talking about.  I loved the sky the day we went, it added to the mystery and wonder of the place, which is really pretty magical.  There was a blanket of air, a hush about the stones that sobered me a bit.  I tried to breathe it all in, take in the whole sight, and savor every second of it so I would never forget what it was like to be in this place of my childhood dreams. There’s just something about Stonehenge!

I hope you don’t mind that I wandered a little from my normal Wednesday posts (haha, get it?!?), but I’ve been dying to share all my travel photos with you, and it’s going to take me forever at the rate I’m going.  Plus, I couldn’t pick just one Stonehenge shot – there were so many favorites! I edited these in PE, and I don’t really remember what I did with them, other than color and lighting adjustments for sure (shooting under gray skies isn’t something I’ve had much practice with!).  BUT. These were all done in Manual mode, with my new lens, so I’m definitely getting there!
