hiking in the desert

Oh, what a day! I spent the day hiking with a girlfriend and the Sierra Club in the outskirts of Phoenix.  It is always so refreshing to get out in nature and get my workout on, and with a good friend by my side that’s just even better 🙂 One of my goals this year was to get outside more and explore the state we live in.  Aside from the blotchy sunburn from where I missed applying sunscreen, I think this excursion was a success 😉 Here are some pictures from today.  I’m not a photographer, so these don’t do the view ANY justice, but these are my favorites anyway…
