Staying Connected

My husband and I have been working opposite schedules the last few weeks with no end in sight. While I’m beyond grateful we both have work when so many people are without, the time away from each other is starting to have its toll on how connected we are right now. Its awfully difficult to maintain a close relationship when you spend so much time apart, as I’m sure many couples know and experience for themselves. So instead of whining about it, we have been coming up with ways to stay in touch and keep the spark alive. Here’s a quick project I did with a few items I had lying around the house.

I Love You Because...

Now we can leave quick little notes for each other that we see as we leave the house.  It’s something small but can make a huge difference in our days apart.  How do you stay connected when you and your loved ones don’t get much time together? I’d love to hear your ideas!

For those who want to know: I made this project with an old magnetic dry erase board, some scrapbooking stickers, string, tape and a dry erase marker.  I adhered it to the door with 3M Command hanging velcro strips.
