wandering eye wednesday: week six/3

Stonehenge Field painteposies.com

For this week’s post, I’m going back to England, again.  I am running out of choices since I’ve not been shooting much these last few weeks.  My inspiration is slowly returning though, and when I saw this photo it sparked something in me.  It’s almost like a clean slate, very soothing on the eyes – and those colors! This was taken near Stonehenge.

I straightened the photo (because apparently I stand crooked?) and then adjusted the exposure to darken the photo and bring out the shadows in the clouds, while holding onto the color of both the green grass and the blue sky. If I close my eyes, I can almost feel myself standing there again…

I shoot crooked too! lol! I notice it especially with my shots of the Pacific Ocean. You’ll notice it a lot of my Instagram photos. I’ve just begun straightening them, and even sometimes remember to keep the horizon horizontal when shooting.ReplyCancel
