Happy EARLY New Year!! First things first, this is my 100th post! I am SO FREAKING EXCITED about this! Like, more than anything right now. Mostly because my biggest 2013 goal was to start a blog and write more and lookie here, I totally did it! HA! I know that making resolutions isn’t for everyone. But to me, having a few goals for the year is totally different. Because I think goals are important, and because I’m super type-A and because I just like to make lists, and…
**sigh** I know, I know. Let’s not dwell on what type of therapy I need. Instead, we’ll redirect!
If you’ve been following along, you know that at the start of this blog, I listed my goals for 2013 here. Some I met, some I… didn’t. Let’s review, shall we?
1.) WRITE!!! ~ (we covered this, but COME ON! It’s in BIG, BOLD LETTERS at the top of my list. And I did it. Reason to celebrate #1)
2.) Start a blog ~ (seriously? CHEERS!)
3.) Back up picture files to external hard drive and organize them by file ~ (damn. OK, well, two out of three ain’t bad, right?)
4.) Garden more, yield a full spring crop ~ (YEP. Did this too. Well. The biggest spring crop I’ve ever had anyway!)
5.) Volunteer more ~ (almost a year into mentoring, and I LOVE it! We are planning on doing some service projects this year, and I do hope to add some Habitat for Humanity work to my plate. Admittedly, I wanted to do that in 2013 too…)
6.) Pay off credit cards and pay extra towards the house and car ~ (!!! YEOWCH. Hello, my name is Amy, and I’m a charge-aholic. I think I’m even more in debt this year)
7.) Purge and organize garage and shed ~ (garage down, shed to go. We’re having a yard sale in January, so the shed will be purged by then! Still counts, right?)
8.) Start planning a remodel for the kitchen (a.k.a. daydream about all the things I can’t afford) ~ (Oh, I daydreamed all right!)
What goals or resolutions did you make for 2013? Did you master any of them? Feel free to share 🙂 And keep an eye out for my 2014 goals. They’re coming soon! Along with a redesigned blog (shhhh! those are part of my 2014 goals hehehe).
