Happy Hour: Sweet Citrus Whiskey Recipe

Hey there! So I got a Jameson sampler for Christmas and learned that if I craft the right cocktail, I actually really like whiskey. Crazy, huh? Eh, not really, but it’s mid-week and work’s been draining me of all creativity so that’s the intro you get for this post.  I do have to say, though, that the Caskmates sample is my favorite, and I’ve bought a few bottles since. They aren’t inexpensive, so therefore don’t find their way into my grocery cart often. But when they do, I’ve created a couple go-to drinks that are refreshing and delicious just for the occasion.

The first recipe is this Sweet Citrus Whiskey recipe will get you through the week/help you look forward to the weekend. It’s sweet, refreshing and yummy as all get-out. I think you’ll love it – Joe and I sure do! Stay tuned for recipe #2!

What You’ll Need:

8 oz Simply Lemonade or other lightly sweetened lemonade

1 Clementine

1 oz Jameson Caskmates whiskey

1/2 oz spiced* or regular honey

ice

What You’ll Do:

Pour all liquid ingredients into a shaker or glass. Cut the Clementine and squeeze all the juice into the glass with the other liquids. Add ice. Shake the shaker or just pour into serving glass to mix. Garnish with a slice of Clementine and enjoy!
