Aaaaah. Saturday morning. Let’s all breathe a collective sigh of relief, shall we? Our niece stayed overnight to give mommy and daddy a break, and she is something else. Little nut. I’m exhausted, but like most things in life, that’s what earns those moments of pure joy.
So, one last look at 2014. Most popular posts, some stats, all the goods on our little space here so we can move on to bigger and better things. Shall we?
The most popular posts of 2014 were as follows:
Creamy Chicken Enchilada Lasagna (written in 2013)
No Carving Required: Pumpkin Decorating Ideas
Create Your Own: Poker Party Birthday Bash
Pinterest Project Month: Watercolor with Glue and Salt (written in 2013)
Also, I uploaded 726 pictures in 2014. Is that a big number or is it just me? I know I’ve been taking and sharing so many more pictures as the blog gets older. It’s a trend I’d like to explore more, and I also plan on adding my portfolio to the blog this year.
The busiest day around here was April 30th. I took the Blogging Your Way e-course with decor8blog.com and there was a lot of other bloggers checking out the goods here to give tips, direction and opinions. It was a great class and I highly recommend anything that Holly Becker does, she’s a true expert in her field.
My most popular post days were Wednesdays (hmmm… Wandering Eye Wednesday, right?). I’ll continue these posts through 2015, and hope to find my “style” so there’s a little more consistency in my photography. I really enjoyed sharing these pictures with you guys, and it seemed like you enjoyed them, too.
My top referrer was Pinterest. You know how much I love Pinterest. I mean, you guys. I’ve been pinning like crazy this year on my Inspiration board, and I hope that if you follow along that you’ve enjoyed all the beauty I’ve been finding! And the cute animals. There are so many cute animals…
Speaking of which, the most commented on post in 2014 was Jonesin’ For A Puppy. Holy mama I can’t wait to share what this fat little guy has been up to lately! I’ve exhausted all my friends, family and co-workers with his shenanigans so it’s time to move on to the rest of the world this year!
So what does any of this mean for painted posies in 2015? Here are my top five goals right now:
- Switch to a self-hosted semi-custom blog theme that I’m currently designing.
- Add my portfolio as mentioned above.
- Grow my photography skills and share it with you guys along the way.
- Be more creative and share those projects here – my goal is two projects a month.
- Integrate pin-it buttons and make the site more easy to share on Pinterest.
What do you think? Is there anything around here that you’d like to see more of in 2015? Anything you’d like to never see again? Please share! And seriously, thanks for hanging out with me as I blabber on and for following along as things evolve around here! It means the world to me 🙂
