A few weeks ago, Joe and I went on a date night downtown. I’m working on a post for it, but I couldn’t wait to share this photo I took of Janet Echelman’s installation at the Phoenix Civic Space Park. It caught our eye as we were walking along and I got a few snaps from a couple different angles. This one was my favorite. Apparently, it’s over 100 feet tall and wide. The colors and lighting are really pretty, and somewhat eery in the night sky. The artist named it “Her Secret Is Patience” and it’s been hanging out downtown since 2009. I never gave her much thought, I guess, because this was the first time I’d paid her any attention…
I only resized this image and saturated the colors very slightly. I took this with my iPhone.
PS – I know I’m back-logged on WEW posts. There’s been a lot going on. We’ll catch up soon!
