Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a lovely week so far. Ours is chugging along nicely, and we are looking forward to a crazy busy weekend filled with family and fun and prepping for a kitchen renovation that begins on Monday. More on that later. For now, here is a single photo that I had to scour my files to find. I’m running out of material and really need to get out and take some pictures that aren’t posed or containing cute babies!
Wandering Eye Wednesday | week 29 | year three
I’ve been practicing some new post editing techniques in Photoshop Elements, and I’m working on convincing myself to subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud. Part of me feels like I still have so much to learn in PSE, and part of me feels like I could do so much more if I had a broader program. I know it will happen one day, just not sure today is that day.
That being said, this is a photo I took while visiting San Francisco with that husband guy of mine in the spring. The entire trip was overcast and grey, which I find challenging. All the pictures have the same grungy hue to them, with a wash of darkness that I got pretty frustrated with. The original shot was much darker (if you can believe that) and washed out. I was able to adjust the exposure and sharpen out the details, while bringing out some of the colors. It’s still dark and moody, which I kind of like, but at least it isn’t all one color. I hadn’t tried editing this shot before because I didn’t know how to crisp it up the way I wanted to. This is closer to what I was going for when I originally took the photo, and I’m happy with the way it turned out. So, yeah. I’ve still got some learning to go for the basic Photoshop program, even though it’s tempting to upgrade like, right now! Wish me luck – patience is not always my strong suit 😉
