Wow. I am so incredibly tired. October was CRAZY!!! We moved locations at work, I visited a vineyard and managed to help with a wedding earlier in the month. We also had our annual Pumpkin Party, my nephew’s birthday party, and finally, the grand opening at my work last week. Not to mention a family barbeque, costume party and sleepover with my nieces, on top of hiking and training for the PSC.
November is starting out crazy, too! Friday night, I slept over at my sister and brother-in-law’s house to watch their five kids while they escaped to celebrate their anniversary. After a quick rest and recovery from being Super Auntie, I had dinner with friends on Saturday night and then managed to hike three mountains and attend a baby shower on Sunday. While I love our life, it’s been a little too crazy around here, and I need a break. Like, BAD. So, my goal for November is to really limit our social calendar. We already have plans, especially with Thanksgiving and all. But I’m so serious about this that I’m even breaking tradition and skipping Black Friday to escape with Joe that weekend. I mean, that’s pretty huge.
I won’t lie, it’s pretty tough for me to say no, so this is going to be a challenging month in a totally different way than being too busy. But if I can manage to clean my house, pack up the Pumpkin Party supplies, and water my garden on a regular basis, I think it will be worth it… And hey, maybe I’ll even get back to my regular blog schedule while I’m at it 😉 In the meantime, here is the short list of what’s going on this month:
- Dax’s birthday sleepover (which means a little Dave and Buster’s action!)
- Mercy’s birthday sleepover (ballet, anyone?)
- The Phoenix Summit Challenge (and all the training that entails)
- Thanksgiving
- Camping!
Not too bad, huh? I’ll keep you posted! What’s on your calendar this month??
P.S. Here are the posts I managed to get up in October!
