I snapped this photo the other afternoon when the heat if the day was shifting to cool. I was just sitting out back, minding my own business, admiring our new grass and planning my next steps in creating an outdoor oasis (right at the start of our sweltering summer no less!). Here comes Jonesie, saunters right up to rest his nose on top of me so he can enjoy the same view. Jones would be at my side every second if I let him – he’s definitely attached. Most of the time, it’s comforting and sweet. Sometimes he gets under my feet and trips me up and drives me bananas. That being said, I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
This is an iPhone pic that I quickly snapped and edited in PSE to remove all the color outside of Jones. I was playing with the picture and possible effects, and this is what I came up with. I can’t even express how much I love this shot!! Playing with the effects took a simple photo and kicked it up a notch, don’t you think? If I were to play with it more, I’d probably vignette it…
